Ryan Cropp is an experienced journalist and academic specializing in energy and climate issues, currently serving as an Energy and Climate Reporter for The Australian Financial Review since February 2025. Prior to this role, Ryan held the position of Reporter at MLex Market Insight from June 2023 to February 2025 and contributed as a Sessional Teacher at the University of Sydney between March 2017 and June 2023, where responsibilities included lecturing, tutoring, and unit coordination. Ryan also worked as a Contributing Writer for Inside Story Magazine from August 2018 to June 2023 and completed a Doctor of Philosophy in History at the University of Sydney in March 2021, following a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the same institution.
