Joan Barnes is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at nSide - The School Safety Platform. Her experience includes overseeing the completion of annual financial audits and serving as a resource for general ledger areas. Previously, she was the Corporate Compliance Officer at Lyons & Company, LLC, where she managed corporate licensure, accreditation requirements, and payroll tax operations. Earlier in her career, Joan was the Controller at Helen Keller Hospital for over 17 years, directing financial management functions, overseeing accounting operations, administering financial management systems, and coordinating financial and insurance audits. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma.
