Jerry Grosso

Dr. Gerald “Jerry” Grosso is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience assisting individuals and families struggling with addiction, depression and trauma. He obtained his Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from San Diego State University before enrolling in Chapman University where he acquired a Master of Arts degree in Psychology. Dr. Grosso continued his education and received a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with a Specialty in treating Chemical Dependency. He holds a professional membership with the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).

Prior to taking the Clinical Director position at Nsight Psychology & Addiction Dr. Grosso has worked at all levels of psychiatric care including inpatient hospitals, residential treatment, community mental health, and private practice. He brings extensive experience in working with complex issues and has spent the past 16 years supervising over 25 mental health professionals including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Clinical Social Workers. Dr. Grosso is especially adept at guiding high risk cases through the treatment process, providing coordinated treatment planning, clinical interventions, and discharge planning.

In his work, he is very solution focused and emphasizes resolution of problems not just symptom reduction. Getting past the mental health issues and emotional distress that reinforce addiction is a major component of recovery. Dr. Grosso helps individuals understand that they can succeed by developing a strong emotional base that they can build their recovery on. His focus on helping others achieve their goals encourages them to life a life free from addiction and self-destructive behaviors.
