Gil Lainer

Gil Lainer serves as the VP of Global Communications at NSO Group since January 2024. Prior to this role, Lainer held various prominent positions at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2022, including Director of the Division of Public Affairs and Resource Development, Head of Communication and External Relations, and Spokesperson. Between 2009 and 2014, significant roles included Consul for Public Affairs at the Consulate General of Israel in New York and Counselor at the Bureau for Middle Eastern Economic Affairs within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. Lainer's earlier experience includes serving as a Procurement Specialist for the Ministry of Defense and an Aliyah Emissary for the Jewish Agency. Lainer also held various diplomatic roles within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1998 to 2004, including positions in North America and Nigeria. Lainer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Management from The College of Management Academic Studies between 1993 and 1996.
