Ben Corcoran

Ben Corcoran is a passionate and driven engineering leader currently serving as the Head of Digital and Data Engineering at Teach First. Previously, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at the BBC, where they developed robust data pipelines using Apache Spark and AWS Cloud tools. Ben also held the position of Associate Head of Data Engineering at NSPCC and contributed significantly as a Data Analyst at the Higher Education Funding Council for England, where they developed a unique statistical indicator for student qualifications. They have also provided data science advisory services during a secondment in Rwanda, assisting in the establishment of the country's first Big Data Lab. Ben earned a Master of Science in Physics from Imperial College London.
