Rani Govender

Rani Govender is a Policy and Influencing Manager focused on child safety online at the NSPCC, where they influence change to address the preventable abuse and harm children face in digital spaces. Previously, Rani held various roles at the NSPCC, including Policy and Public Affairs Officer and Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer. They also worked as a Policy Advisor at Cancer Research UK, concentrating on optimizing cancer services, particularly regarding inequalities and performance. Rani began their career in a Graduate Scheme at the British Heart Foundation, where they gained experience in various teams. They hold a BA in History from the University of Oxford and an MA in Social Policy from the University of York, graduating with distinction.
