David Morris

Executive Vice President at NTG

David Morris has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. David began their career in the United States Army, serving as a Telecommunications Specialist for seven years. After completing their military service in 1994, they joined GTE Government Services as a Senior Technician, where they played a key role in the conversion from Amdahl to IDNX multiplexers for a secure military network.

In 1996, Morris became a Network Consultant at Network Equipment Technologies, a position they held until 1999. During this time, they worked on various projects involving network installations and deployments. David then joined Romac International as a Network Engineer, leading a project for the installation and deployment of a network operations center for a company called Jabil Circuits.

In 1999, Morris joined GTE Data Systems/Verizon as a Network Engineer, where they collaborated with cross-functional teams in the sale, design, project management, and support of a large-scale project for Federated Department Store. David also served as an on-site client representative during this period.

From 2002 to 2004, Morris worked as a Senior Network Engineer at Dataline, Inc., where they designed networks for private clients and multiple network systems for the U.S. government. David then joined Northrop Grumman as a Network Engineer in Baghdad, Iraq, supervising a team of IT specialists and ensuring network connectivity and serviceability.

From 2005 to 2009, Morris worked as a Senior Network Architect at INX, Inc., where they designed, implemented, and maintained Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) infrastructure in Iraq. David also led the integration of multiple tactical networks within a strategic network infrastructure.

In 2008, Morris began providing onsite consulting services for USCENTCOM, working for INX, Inc., SAIC, and currently NTG. As a Network Infrastructure Lead, they have been responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining classified networks for USCENTCOM.

Most recently, Morris has been serving as the Executive Vice President at NTG since 2010. In this role, they have been working closely with the company owner and business leaders to advance NTG's position in the Tampa market. David has successfully implemented branding and sales strategies and looks forward to providing quality engineering services to the community, corporate, and Department of Defense clientele.

Overall, David Morris has gained extensive experience in network engineering and architecture, with a particular focus on strategic network infrastructure and network operations.

David Morris attended the University of Maryland from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies. David then enrolled at the University of Phoenix in 2003 and completed their Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in 2004. Additionally, David pursued further education at Saint Leo University from 2003 to 2006, earning a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Business.
