Yanjun Li

Yanjun Li is a distinguished researcher in the field of materials science and engineering, currently serving as a Professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at NTNU since August 2013. Yanjun Li's academic journey began with a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from Jilin University of Technology followed by a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology. Prior experience includes postdoctoral positions at NTNU and the University of Oslo, where Yanjun Li focused on aluminum alloy solidification and TEM characterization of nanomaterials. Yanjun Li also held roles as a research metallurgist at Hydro Aluminium and as a senior research scientist at SINTEF, contributing significantly to aluminum alloy development and materials physics research. Key areas of expertise include solidification and casting of aluminum alloys, microstructure modeling, and advanced electron microscopic characterization.
