Sumit Kumar has accumulated diverse experience in the mining and energy sectors, beginning with an Executive Trainee role at NTPC Limited, where responsibilities included training in power plant operations and coal mining. Sumit progressed to various positions at NTPC, including Assistant Manager for shift operations and mining, as well as Deputy Manager with responsibilities for receiving Clearances for Environment and Forest Diversion. Previous experience also includes a role as Management Trainee at Steel Authority of India Limited focused on iron ore mining, and a brief tenure as PGET at Vedanta Resources Plc in metal mining. Currently pursuing an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services at Indira Gandhi National Open University, Sumit previously earned a degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University).
