Carla Valentin is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in content strategy and editorial leadership. Currently serving as the Content Strategist and Editor in Chief for NPO Kennis and NPO Focus since April 2018, Carla also operates an independent media and culture consultancy, Valentin, media en meer, established in January 2013. Previously, Carla held the position of Editor in Chief for Art & Culture at AVRO from 2007 to 2013, and spent over a decade at VARA as Editor in Chief for various television and radio programs. Carla's career began in journalism in the 1980s at Brabant Nieuwsblad, with a freelance journalism stint in the early 1990s. Carla holds a Bachelor's degree in Media and Culture from the University of Amsterdam.
