Suzanne Basalla

Suzanne Basalla is a Partner at Geodesic Capital, where they continue their commitment to strengthening the U.S.-Japan relationship across various sectors. Previously, they served as President & CEO of the U.S.-Japan Council and held significant roles as a Naval Officer, Senior Advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to Japan, and as the Director for Japan within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Their experience spans military service, governmental assignments, and roles in corporate R&D, complemented by their academic background in Asian Studies from the University of Virginia and The George Washington University. Currently, Suzanne is also a member of the Board of Advisors at UCLA's Terasaki Center for Japanese Studies and serves as an advisor to Central Japan Railway Company.
