Sam Funnell

Samantha Funnell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations, legal, and intellectual property roles. Currently serving as VP Ops and Legal & IP at Nu Quantum since October 2022, Samantha has also held the position of Honorary Secretary for the Incorporated Benevolent Association of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys since October 2017. As a Board Member and Diversity Champion for the Intellectual Property Regulation Board, a role held from June 2018 until March 2024, Samantha has demonstrated a commitment to diversity in the field. Samantha founded Sam Funnell Ltd and has consulted as a Patent Attorney at Simmons & Simmons. Previous positions include Director at EY, Chief IP Counsel at ARM, and Head of Legal and Business Affairs at Adarga. With a solid educational background that includes a BEng from UCL and two MSc degrees in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary University of London, Samantha combines technical expertise with legal acumen.
