Scott Keys has over 17 years of experience in the food industry. Scott began their career in 2003 as a Pastry Cook Intern at Sailfish Point Country Club, where they reported directly to the Executive Pastry Chef and contributed to daily production of bread and pastries. In 2005, they became the General Manager of Operations at Talk of the Town Restaurant Group, where they managed the scratch wholesale bakery business unit operations and performance. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at B&R Stores, Inc. as a Retail Bakery Manager and Better Basics Lead Manager. In this role, they developed retail products, managed P&L, and directed 11 direct reports across three shifts. In 2015, they joined NuTek Food Science as the Sr. Director of Culinary and Technical Applications, where they directed the Technical Sales team, led CPG and QSR product development support, and established and maintained strategic partnerships. In 2020, they joined NuTek Natural Ingredients as the Vice President of Salt Solutions. In this role, they manage the global product portfolio, direct and extended sales and distribution team operations, and cross-functional teams. Scott also trains and develops technical applications, sales, and distributor teams on selling methods and full product portfolio utilization.
Scott Keys obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education and Human Services and Culinary Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Scott then obtained an Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) in Baking and Pastry Arts/Baker/Pastry Chef from The Culinary Institute of America. In 2021, they obtained a Certification in Mastering Sales: A Toolkit for Success from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
