Daniel Kamakura is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in technology and project management. Currently serving as Director of Engineering for Global Lending and Global Insurance at Nubank, Daniel focuses on developing innovative insurance products. Previously, Daniel held positions at Amazon, where responsibilities included leading engineering for tax, pricing, and finance solutions in Latin America, and overseeing software development initiatives that supported the launch of Amazon Prime in Brazil and marketplace expansions in Europe. Prior to Amazon, Daniel served as IT Manager at UnitedHealth Group - Amil, directing the development of medical and dental systems, and held various roles at Amil Assistência Médica S/A, including IT Project Manager and Senior Software Engineer. Daniel holds an MBA in Project Management from FGV and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from USP.
