David Marcus

David Marcus is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with extensive experience in the technology and financial sectors. Currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of Lightspark since April 2022, Marcus holds a position on the Board of Directors at Nubank since March 2023. Previously, Marcus was a Board Member at the Diem Association from October 2019 to December 2021 and held key roles at Meta, including Head of Novi and Head of Messenger from August 2014 to December 2021. Additional board memberships include Tipping Point Community and Coinbase. Marcus has also led PayPal as President from August 2011 to July 2014 and founded Zong, a mobile payments provider, and Echovox, a mobile monetization company, showcasing a strong background in mobile and digital payment solutions. Marcus studied at the University of Geneva from 1992 to 1994.
