Sofia Melo Vasconcellos

Sofia Melo Vasconcellos is a data scientist and multidisciplinary researcher with expertise in hydrology, remote sensing, energy, and finance. Currently a Data Scientist at Nubank, Sofia previously developed machine learning models at C6 Bank for credit risk estimation and worked as a Hydrology Engineer at Fractal Engenharia e Sistemas, where they led projects focused on hydrological analysis and modeling. Sofia holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, along with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Alagoas. They also completed a Machine Learning Immersion at Google.
