Forest Marie

Forest Marie has worked in the technology industry since 2005. Forest began their career as a Web Developer I at eThreshold. Forest then moved to Apogen Services as a Software Developer 2 where they were responsible for assisting and developing a portal-based e-commerce web application. In 2007, they joined Turner Industries as a Principal Software Consultant. In this role, they were responsible for the software engineering value chain and led engineering managers and architects in developing, releasing, and maintaining software solutions in an Agile environment. Forest also served as an Enterprise Agile thought leader. In 2019, they founded and became the CEO of Nubitz, a technology consulting agency that provides custom software development, developer services, and talent acquisition.

Forest Marie completed their college preparatory studies at L.W. Higgins High School from 1993 to 1996. Forest then attended Southeastern Louisiana University from 1999 to 2003, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. In 2013, they obtained a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer: Web Applications certification from Microsoft. Forest also obtained a Management & Leadership Certificate and Business Project Management Certificate from LSU Continuing Education in 2014 and 2012, respectively. In 2015, they completed the Dale Carnegie Course in Effective Communication and Human Relations. Forest then completed the Advanced Dale Carnegie Course: Skills for Team Success in 2018. Additionally, they obtained several certifications from Scrum.org, including Professional Scrum with Kanban PSK-I in 2019, Professional Scrum Developer (PSD) and Professional Scrum Developer™ I (PSD I) in 2019, Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) and Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) in 2018, Professional Agile Leadership I (PAL I) in 2018, Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) in 2015, and Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®), Certified Scrum Professional® - Product Owner (CSP-PO™), Certified Scrum Professional® - ScrumMaster (CSP-SM™), and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) in 2014.
