Willy Polychenko

Willy Polychenko has a diverse work experience in the field of algorithm engineering and software development. Willy is currently working as a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Nucleai, a leading provider of an AI-powered precision oncology platform. In this role, they contribute to transforming biomarker discovery and treatment decisions by leveraging unique tissue datasets to produce insights into cancer biology. Willy also collaborates with leading pharmaceutical companies on biomarker discovery projects.

Prior to their current position, Willy worked as a self-employed Algorithms & Software Architecture Consultant starting from 2018. Before that, they served as a System Engineer at Body Vision Medical LTD from January 2018 to August 2018, and as an Algorithm & Software Development Engineer from November 2015 to January 2018 in the same company.

Earlier in their career, Willy held various roles at IDF (Israel Defense Forces). Willy worked as a Software Engineering CTO from March 2015 to November 2015, as an Algorithm & Software Development Team Leader from August 2011 to March 2015, and as an Algorithm & Software Developer from April 2010 to July 2011.

Willy Polychenko has a diverse educational background. Willy obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Systems Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2009, they attended Psagot and earned a dual Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electronic Engineering and Physics. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electronic Engineering, specializing in Computers, Electro-Optics & Devices, from Tel Aviv University. Additionally, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from Tel Aviv University.
