Michael Kim

Dojogrants Program Director

Michael Kim is an Informatics and Software Engineer at Northwestern University, collaborating with the Kelleher Research Group since June 2023. Currently, Michael serves as a Senior Research Fellow at Contrary, focusing on private companies in biotech, healthtech, and data infrastructure, as well as leading the DojoGrants program at Nucleate, which provides substantial grant funding for undergraduate research in life sciences. Previous experience includes a Data Science internship at Gate Bioscience, where Michael contributed to drug discovery, and various roles at Battery Ventures that involved software analysis and sourcing for B2B SaaS companies. Additionally, Michael has held positions as a Growth Associate and Software Engineer at Inbound, a Squad Leader at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, an Analyst at Northwestern Capital Management, and an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Bastiat Partners. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Computer Science, and Data Science at Northwestern University, Michael also completed a Summer Research internship at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital.
