Zach Cogan

Co-President at Nucleate

Zach Cogan is currently the EVP of Partnerships at Nucleate. Prior to this, they worked as a lab technician at the Weissman Lab at UCSF Mission Bay, developing and leveraging CRISPR genome editing technology for biological research and therapeutic applications. Zach also worked as a lab technician at the Weismann Lab at UCSF and as a researcher for the CCS Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship. Zach's research experience includes developing genetic tools for engineering anaerobic gut fungi for a synthetic bioreactor and testing electroporation as a transformation technique for cellulolytic fungi.

Zach Cogan has a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Bachelor's degree in CCS Biology from UC Santa Barbara.

Zach Cogan works with Ashley Gleaton - EVP, Diversity and Equity, Anjali Ramaswamy - EVP, Education, and Michael Retchin - EVP, Strategy. Their manager is Soufiane Aboulhouda, Co-President & Chair.
