Lisa Chamberlain has over 20 years of work experience. Lisa began their career in 2000 as an Outdoor Education Instructor at the Orange County Outdoor Education. In 2001, they moved on to the Zoological Society of San Diego as a Laboratory Assistant. In 2003, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at Colorado State University. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Diego. In 2010, they became a Contract Scientist at Molecular Response. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Scientist I/II at Sequenom, where they worked on cell-free DNA processing and extraction techniques to improve specificity and sensitivity of NGS-based clinical diagnostic assays for prenatal genetic testing. From 2016 to 2021, they were a Principal Scientist and Development Scientist II at Invivoscribe, where they led a matrixed team in formulation development of MRD level NGS assays slated for IVD submission under design controls. In 2021, they became a Scientist at NeoGenomics Laboratories, and in 2022 they were promoted to Senior Scientist at Nucleix Ltd.
Lisa Chamberlain completed their Bachelor of Science in Biology from UC San Diego in 2000. Lisa then went on to pursue a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Colorado State University, which they completed in 2009. During their PhD program, they also completed dissertation work for the University of Utah in 2006-2008.
