Vinoth Tharma

Vinoth Tharma has a diverse work experience in the field of mechanical integrity services and engineering. Vinoth started their career at Acuren in 2013 as an Integrity Engineer and later became the Lead for Field Engineering Services in Ontario. In 2018, they joined Applus+ RTD as a Manager for Mechanical Integrity Services. Currently, they are the Operations Director at Nucléom, where they oversee various roles including Manager for Mechanical Integrity Services.

Vinoth Tharma pursued their higher education at the University of Toronto. Vinoth completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Materials Science and Engineering, with double minors in Bioengineering and Engineering Business in 2013. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Business Management from the University of Toronto's Centre for Management of Technology and Entrepreneurship in 2010.

In terms of certifications, Vinoth Tharma has acquired various qualifications. Vinoth received their Professional Engineer designation from multiple institutions, including the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) and The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in June 2023. Vinoth also attained certification in Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC): ASME V from Eddyfi Technologies in February 2022. Other certifications obtained by Vinoth Tharma include being a Pipeline Construction Inspector certified by the API - American Petroleum Institute in October 2020, an Aboveground Tank System Inspector certified by STI/SPFA in June 2020, a Certified Welding Inspector - CSA 178.2 Level 1 certified by the CWB Group in August 2019, and a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Pilot Certificate - Advanced Operations issued by Transport Canada in March 2019.

Furthermore, Vinoth Tharma is recognized as a Professional Engineer by Professional Engineers Ontario since September 2018. Vinoth additionally holds certifications as a Piping Inspector (API 570) from the API - American Petroleum Institute obtained in July 2018, a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute acquired in March 2018, and an Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector (API 653) certified by the API - American Petroleum Institute in April 2016. Further certifications include their status as a NACE Certified Coating Inspector - Level 1 by NACE International, The Corrosion Society, obtained in May 2014, and as an NRCan X-Ray Fluorescence Operator conferred by Natural Resources Canada in February 2014.
