Michael Gooch

Michael Gooch has diverse work experience in the financial industry. Michael is currently the Head of Investment Proposition at Nucleus Financial since 2022. Prior to this, they held the same role at James Hay Partnership, starting in 2014. Michael also worked as an Investment Proposition Manager at James Hay Partnership from 2014 to 2022. Before joining James Hay Partnership, Gooch was a Product Marketing Manager at Ascentric from 2013 to 2014. Michael gained significant experience at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd., where they served as an Investment Management Consultant from 2009 to 2013, and as a Fund Development Manager from 2008 to 2009. Gooch began their career as a Senior Investment Product Developer at AXA Wealth from 2002 to 2008. Michael started as a Graduate Management Trainee at Skandia from 2000 to 2002 and as a Compliance Assistant at Aviva plc (previously CGU Life) from 2000 to 2000.

Michael Gooch began their education at the Alberdingk Thijm College (International School of Hilversum, The Netherlands) in 1989 and completed their International Baccalaureate degree in 1995. Michael then attended the University of York from 1995 to 1998, where they studied Politics and Economic and Social History. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management at the University of Bath from 1998 to 1999. Most recently, in 2014, Michael obtained an Investment Management Certificate from CFA.
