Jim Manico

Jim Manico is the Founder, CEO, and Application Security Educator at Manicode Security, where the focus is on teaching developers to write secure code. Additionally, Jim serves as a Strategic Technical Advisor at Edgescan and Akto.io, providing guidance on aligning security technologies with emerging threats. An active volunteer with OWASP since 2008, Jim has co-led significant projects including the OWASP AISVS and ASVS. As a Fund Limited Partner at Aviso Ventures and an advisor for multiple security-focused companies such as DefectDojo, RAD Security, Nucleus Security, and MergeBase, Jim contributes expertise in enhancing application security and risk management. Formerly a co-founder at Brakeman Security, Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Siena University and has completed specialized training in information security.
