Mark Schaefer

Mark Schaefer is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the metals industry, currently serving as General Manager at Nucor Corporation since September 2021, where the focus is on sustainability and profitability through innovative partnerships. Previously, Mark held the position of Vice President and General Manager at Advantage Metals Recycling, leading a sizable team after the integration with Nucor. Prior to Nucor, Mark served as President of DJJ-The David J Joseph Company for over 13 years, guiding significant organizational changes for a division with 2,200 employees and establishing strategies for financial growth in various roles, including Executive Vice President for both the Brokerage Services and Recycling Groups.
