Tom Carter

Tom Carter is an experienced professional in the steel and manufacturing industries with a strong background in technical services and management. Currently serving as the District Technical Services Manager at Nucor Corporation since September 2021, Tom previously held key positions including Technical Services Supervisor at Nucor Steel Memphis, Inc. and Managing Director at FOMAS USA, where responsibilities included P&L oversight and operations for high-value rolled ring and heat treating facilities. Earlier roles at Commercial Metals Company encompassed various leadership functions, including Director of Quality and Technical Services, where Tom enhanced multisite steel heat treating operations. Tom holds a BS in Materials Engineering from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
