Leonora Merry is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in public affairs and media relations. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at Nuffield Trust since January 2014, Leonora oversees the press office, manages external affairs, and collaborates with senior leadership on communications strategy. Previously, as Media and External Affairs Manager at the Social Market Foundation from 2011 to 2014, Leonora enhanced the organization's media profile and contributed to its recognition as the UK Think Tank of the Year in 2012. Earlier roles include Communications Officer at Resolution, PR and Communications Advisor for Navajeevana in Sri Lanka, Policy and Campaigns Officer at CHILDREN 1ST, and Parliamentary and Press Officer for the Scottish SPCA. Leonora holds a MA (Hons) in Politics and History from The University of Edinburgh.
