Jacob Wilson has extensive work experience in the waste and recycling industry. Jacob started their career in 2011 as a Sales Representative at NuGrow and gradually moved up to become the Business Development Manager and then the Business Growth Manager. In June 2017, they assumed the role of Chief Commercial Officer at NuGrow, where they focus on client service excellence and innovation.

Additionally, Jacob Wilson is also involved with the Waste Recycling Industry Association (QLD) inc, starting in 2015. Jacob holds the position of an Executive Committee Member and Treasurer, advocating for NuGrow's niche within the waste and recycling industry as an organics processor.

Jacob Wilson completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from UQ Business School from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, in 2017, they attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors to pursue a Company Directors Course. Jacob also holds a Bachelor of Criminology from Griffith University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013, majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Jacob Wilson completed their secondary education at St Edmunds College Ipswich from 2006 to 2010, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
