Peter Thompson has a diverse work experience, primarily in the environmental industry. Peter started their career as an Environmental Consultant at GHD, where they worked on various environmental management projects. Peter then joined NuGrow as the Environmental Compliance Manager, where they strengthened the company's environmental practices and led sustainability programs. Peter later took on the role of Head of Environment, Governance and Business Excellence at NuGrow, where they developed the company's first business strategy and supported the management team in defining its vision and purpose. Most recently, they served as the Chief Strategy Officer at NuGrow, where they focused on executing and sustaining the company's business strategy. Additionally, Peter enjoyed a brief stint as a Professional Cyclist and Mountain Climber at Drapac Professional Cycling and Outfitter Nepal, respectively.
Peter Thompson completed their education at several institutions. Peter attended Ipswich Grammar School from 1999 to 2003. From 2004 to 2008, they studied at The University of Queensland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Environmental Management (Hons) with a major in Sustainable Development. In 2016, Peter enrolled in The University of Queensland again, this time to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), which they completed in 2019. Additionally, in 2017, they attended a Graduate Australian Institute Company Directors course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
