Arturo Puigbo

Arturo Puigbo has had an extensive career in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on gas processing and treating. Arturo started their career in 1991 with Intevep; PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. as a Process Design Engineer, where they were involved in the development of FEED and detailed design packages. Arturo then worked at Bechtel as a Process Engineer, specializing in gas processing and sulfur technology.

In 2000, Puigbo joined Merichem Company, initially as a Process Engineer and later taking on roles such as Process Engineering Supervisor, Technical Services Manager, Engineering Manager, and Business Development Manager. During their time at Merichem, they were responsible for coordinating design activities, managing engineering teams, and promoting sales and marketing of proprietary technology.

In 2009, Puigbo joined Exterran as the Director of Engineering - Integrated Projects, overseeing the integration and detailed design of gas compression and conditioning facilities. Arturo was also responsible for coordinating design activities and ensuring client requirements were met.

From 2012 to 2017, Puigbo worked at Cameron, a Schlumberger Company, where they held various roles including Director of Gas Processing & Treating and Global Director Midstream. Arturo led teams focused on cryogenic solutions for the midstream market and supervised project engineering and proposal teams.

In 2017, Puigbo joined Linde Engineering North America Inc. as the Vice President Sales & Technology for the Natural Gas Division. Arturo was recruited to increase sales and revenue for gas processing facilities.

In 2020, Puigbo joined Merichem Company again, this time as the General Manager and Sr Technology Licensing Director for the EcoTreat Division. Arturo led the division in providing acid gas removal solutions to the upstream and midstream markets.

Currently, Puigbo is working as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Nu:ionic Technologies, where they are leading efforts to decarbonize processes by replacing the combustion of fuels with clean electric energy in the form of industrial microwave. Arturo is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, sales and revenue forecasts, and overseeing multidisciplinary teams.

Throughout their career, Puigbo has demonstrated expertise in financial management, transforming strategic plans into tactical initiatives, technical sales, and leadership and management of teams.

Arturo Puigbo began their education by obtaining a High School Diploma from Colegio Santo Tomas de Villanueva in 1985. Arturo then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Universidad Simón Bolívar from 1985 to 1991. Following that, they attended Universidad de los Andes (VE) from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained a Specialist degree in Chemical (Process) Engineering. Arturo furthered their studies by pursuing a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Minnesota from 1995 to 1997.
