Matthew Veling has a diverse work experience, beginning in 1997 as Associate Pastor and Non-Profit Administrator at Calvary Chapel Hidden Valley. In 2000, they began working at TierraNet Inc. as Customer Service and Human Resources. In 2003, they became the Owner/Operator of Simulated Shades, a sunglass retail outlet. In 2006, they opened D.I.Y. Yogurt, a self-serve frozen yogurt shop. From 2007 to 2015, they worked at Phone.com, first as a Product/Brand Manager and then as a Cultural Architect. In 2014, they became Co-Founder of NumberBarn and Anglican Priest/Rector at Restoration Abbey. In 2015, they began working at Center for Executive Excellence, Inc. as a StrengthsFinder Coach and Trainer.
Matthew Veling began their education in 1995 at Calvary Chapel Bible College, where they obtained a B.A. in Biblical Studies. In 1997, they transferred to California State University San Marcos and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Accounting in 2001. From 2008 to 2011, they attended Azusa Pacific University, where they obtained a Master of Divinity (M.Div.). In 2013, they completed Graduate Studies in Community Development at Eastern University. In 2014, they earned a Doctorate of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary in Urban Ministry/Community Development. Additionally, in October of 2014, Matthew obtained a certification as a Gallup Strengths Coach from Gallup.
