Simon Opsahl

Simon Opsahl is a staff software engineer at Numenta, where they also completed a machine learning internship. They previously worked as a software engineer at HomeRunns and conducted research as a machine learning intern at Ordbogen A/S, focusing on ternary weight quantization of language models. Simon has extensive research experience, including investigations into superconducting materials at the Quantum Nanostructures and Nanofabrication Group and the relationship between climate identity and art with the MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative. Simon holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Engineering.
