Stephen Lin has a diverse work experience, starting from their role as a Sales & Trading Intern at Oriental Securities in 2019. Later in 2020, they took on practicum projects at COST Association and a bank in the US. In 2021, they worked as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and also as a Machine Learning Engineer at NYU Vertically Integrated Projects. Stephen was also a member of the Columbia Quant Group and trading team at NYU Bulls and Bears Student Club. In 2022, they interned at Global AI as a Machine learning & Quantitative Strategies Intern and later, in 2023, they became a Data Scientist at Numerai and a Sustainable Investing Research Consultant at 17 Asset Management.
Stephen Lin has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from National Chengchi University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, they earned their first master's degree in Operations Research with a concentration in Analytics from Columbia University. Stephen also obtained two certifications, Financial Engineering and Risk Management Part I from Columbia University, and Bloomberg Market Concepts from Bloomberg LP that year. From 2020 to 2022, they pursued a second master's degree in Financial Engineering from New York University. Stephen also obtained two basketball-related certifications, a Gold Coach License from USA Basketball in January 2022, and ROC Taiwan level C basketball coach and referee licenses from the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association, but the months and years of obtaining those licenses are unknown. In 2017, they attended a summer session at the University of California, Berkeley.
