Samuel Bernard has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 2006, they completed a student internship at JAIST, where they developed a novel Total Order Broadcast algorithm for low latency applications. Samuel then moved on to an internship at INRIA Saclay in 2007, where they studied the viability of a Peer-to-Peer Backup System for improving personal data resiliency. Samuel then joined UPMC - Sorbonne Universities as a Ph.D. student, focusing on Distributed Algorithms from 2007 to 2010.

In 2011, Samuel started working as a Senior Software Engineer at Criteo, a global leader in digital performance advertising, responsible for developing algorithms for personalized ad targeting. Samuel then joined S4M in 2015 as the Chief Technical Innovation Officer, where they transformed mobile ads into personalized content for users.

In 2017, Samuel co-founded Make.org, an independent European citizen initiative, and served as the Chief Technology Officer. The organization aimed to provide citizens with tools to participate in political debates.

After leaving Make.org in 2018, Samuel worked as a Technical Advisor and CTO Coach at You're Welcome App. Samuel provided guidance on technical aspects and coaching support to the CTO.

In 2021, Samuel served as an Advisor of the Data Team at La Redoute, a fashion and home decor company. Samuel provided guidance and expertise on data-related projects. From 2019 to 2021, Samuel also worked as a Freelance Consultant, providing consulting services in their areas of expertise.

Most recently, Samuel founded NuMind in 2022, a software company focused on developing machine learning tools and applications. The company aims to make machine learning and artificial intelligence more accessible through simple and powerful tools.

Samuel Bernard began their education journey in 2001 at Lycée Marcelin Berthelot, where they pursued a CPGE degree in the field of MP. After completing their CPGE degree in 2004, Samuel attended Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2005. Samuel then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science at École normale supérieure de Lyon from 2005 to 2007. Following their Master's degree, Samuel enrolled in Pierre and Marie Curie University, where they earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from 2007 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Samuel Bernard has also obtained additional certifications. In 2020, they completed the Deep Learning Specialization program offered by Coursera. Samuel also completed the Machine Learning course by Stanford University, also on Coursera, in the same year.
