Christopher O'Brien is an experienced organic chemist currently serving as the Director of Chemical Development at Nurix Therapeutics, a role they commenced in 2024. Previously, Christopher held the position of Principal Chemist at Almac Group from 2020 to 2024, leading a team in developing new chemical synthetic routes. A former Senior Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at Teesside University from 2014 to 2017, Christopher has also contributed as a lecturer at Dublin City University and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington. They hold a Doctor of Philosophy in asymmetric catalysis from The University of Sheffield and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from UMIST.
