Rui Yang

Scientist II

Rui Yang is an experienced scientist with a strong background in genetics and immunology. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Southern California from September 2019 to February 2023, Rui Yang developed a novel transgenic mouse model for profiling interorgan communication and employed CRISPR-Cas9 technology to investigate transcription factors influencing the survival of CD19-targeted CAR-T cells. Currently serving as Scientist II at Nurix Therapeutics since July 2023, Rui Yang conducts potency assays on tumor-infiltrated lymphocytes to enhance adoptive cell therapy products and employs advanced multiomics analysis. Rui Yang also has postdoctoral experience at Peking University, where tumor-reactive and bystander CD8+ TILs were analyzed from human colorectal cancer samples. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Genetics from Tsinghua University and a visiting scholar program in Developmental Biology at Washington University in St. Louis.
