Chris Beall is a seasoned professional in the field of computer engineering with a robust background in mapping and localization. Currently serving as the Head of Online Mapping at Nuro since August 2018, Chris has held multiple technical leadership roles within the company, including Technical Lead Manager for Mapping, Localization, and Pose, as well as Software Engineer. Prior to this, Chris was a Senior Research Scientist at Fyusion, Inc. from April 2015 to July 2018, and completed a Graduate Research Internship at Intel Corporation in 2011, focusing on 3D reconstruction using a moving Kinect camera. Chris holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, along with a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
