Yi Yang is a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Localization and Mapping at Nuro since June 2021. Previously, Yi worked at Phiar from September 2019 to June 2021 as a Software Engineer focusing on pose estimation and camera-based perception systems for augmented reality navigation, contributing to a project that was later acquired by Google. Yi's research experience includes a role as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University, where work centered around SLAM, dense mapping, and 3D reconstruction.
