Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. (NEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote leadership and health equity through scholarship support for professional nurses seeking master’s and doctoral degrees in nursing education, practice, service, and research.

NEF is one of the largest, national, private, professionally-endorsed sources of funds for advanced nursing study, with over 100 years of service to and for professional nursing.

Founded in 1912, the first two Isabel Hampton Robb scholarships were awarded to Cecelia Evans and Lisle French. Now, NEF awards nearly 40 graduate scholarships each year to nursing educators, advanced nurse clinicians, and nurse researchers.

NEF’s Board of Directors is comprised of leaders from nursing, education, technology, and business communities. Scholarship applications are reviewed by a team of exceptional nurse leaders. To learn more, follow Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. on LinkedIn or visit our website www.n-e-f.org.
