Jeffrey S. Block, MD  is a proven proactive educator experienced in providing facts and scientific evidence on botanical medicines as the Principal Partner of Nurturing Nature Group Consultants.
His unique backgrounds include being an internationally awarded horticulturist owning "Block Botanical Gardens" in Miami, Florida, where "The Art and Science of Nurturing Nature" has been their slogan manta for a quarter century, and as a leading Institutional Member of the American Public Gardens Association (APGA). He is also a Certified Master Gardener and Master Gardener Course Educator through the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) and Florida Department of Agriculture.  Dr. Block maintains a professional working knowledge of the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia's Revision 2014 monograph concerning the standards of identity analysis & quality control of Cannabis species.  As a nationally regarded expert in both the botanical and health science fields concerning endocannabinoid medicine, Dr. Block is particularly well-qualified to assure the highest quality of standards required by medical oversight.

Dr. Block brings an expansive 25-year history in clinical healthcare involving direct patient care. As a career anesthesiologist, Dr. Block is an expert in the applied pharmacology of controlled substances, and has a profound understanding of receptor specific drug interactions that are appreciated to be the core mechanism essential to understanding of the pathophysiology within endocannabinoid medicines.  Throughout his career, Dr. Block has responsibly maintained his status as a federally licensed controlled substance provider through the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) by providing safe and effective patient care.  As an objective consultant educator, he is professionally knowledgeable with the DEA's 2014 publication entitled “Dangers and Consequences of Marijuana Abuse”, and does not advocate for or against medical cannabis.
