Steven Lynam has a diverse range of work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Steven started their career as a Research Intern at Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory in 2008, where they developed a temperature control system for a pyroelectric crystal.
In 2009, Steven worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Maryland College Park until 2013. During this time, they gained valuable experience in their field.
From 2013 to 2017, Steven worked at LK Development as a Lead Design Engineer. Steven was responsible for developing a patent-protected valving mechanism for a pneumatic launching device. Steven also contributed to the development of peripheral mechanisms, ergonomics, aesthetics, and electronic hardware.
In 2015, Steven briefly worked as a Staff Scientist at D.W. Kozera, Inc. for a year.
Steven collaborated with an artist and served as a Collaborating Artist/Engineer (Contract) at Light City Baltimore in 2015. Steven was awarded a grant to install a large public art installation titled "Lumen" for the Light City 2016 festival. Steven'sresponsibilities included mechanical design, engineering, fabrication, and installation.
From 2017 to 2020, Steven worked as a Mechanical Engineer at RadiaBeam Technologies. Steven played a key role in the development of engineer-to-order and production Linear Accelerators (LINACs) and other accelerator components. Steven acquired a working knowledge of ASME Y14.5-2009 and assisted in the development of an internal quality assurance system.
Currently, Steven is employed at Nusano as a Senior Mechanical Engineer since the year 2020.
Steven Lynam earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. In July 2017, they obtained a certification as a Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) from Dassault Systèmes.
