Lead Devops Engineer (vice President) at Nutmeg

Anthony Vickers has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. ☁️ Anthony started their career as a Summer Opening Staff at The Royal Collection, where they worked as part of the security team during the Buckingham Palace Summer Opening. Later, they worked as a Yardman at The Royal Household, taking care of routine maintenance tasks and ensuring the cleanliness of the grounds.

In the renewable energy sector, Anthony worked for Natural Generation Ltd as a Renewable Energy Engineer during a work placement. ☁️ Anthony then joined Wardell Armstrong as a Renewable Energy Specialist, where they advised and assisted in the design and procurement of renewable energy projects, primarily wind and solar power. At Rame Energy PLC, Anthony worked as an Engineer and undertook activities related to renewable and non-renewable energy project development and management.

Anthony transitioned into the technology field, starting as an Off-Grid Technical Design Engineer at Beco Energy Solutions. ☁️ Anthony then worked as a DevOps Engineer at City Science, where they delivered high-quality code into production and practiced good developer practices. ☁️ Anthony also held the role of Energy Systems Consultant at City Science, providing expertise in energy systems.

With Alpian, Anthony worked as a DevOps Engineer, and later joined Panaseer as a Senior DevOps Engineer. In this role, they were part of the cloud-infrastructure engineering team, responsible for delivering a secure and available platform for large enterprise customers.

Most recently, Anthony has been working at Nutmeg as a Lead DevOps Engineer (Vice President), where they hold a senior position and oversees the implementation of DevOps practices.

Throughout their career, Anthony has demonstrated versatility, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in different industries and roles.

Anthony Vickers obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Renewable Energy from the University of Exeter, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Bishop Challoner School from 1997 to 2009. In terms of additional certifications, they completed the Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals for AWS Professionals and Managing Security in Google Cloud Platform courses on Coursera in 2021. In 2010, they also obtained a certification in Green Machine - Hydraulic Diesel Road Sweeper. Additionally, they became an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate in May 2020. ☁️ Anthony also holds a DEC Assessor England and Wales certification from Elmhurst Energy.
