Darren Neely possesses extensive experience in rock mechanics and engineering, beginning with a position as a summer student at Resource Management from April 2009 to September 2010, where involvement included surveying and quality control for various construction projects. After gaining further experience as a summer student at PotashCorp from April 2011 to September 2013, supported by sponsorship for master’s studies, Darren progressed to roles at Agrium from January 2014 to January 2017 as a Rock Mechanics Engineer, EIT, undertaking ground hazard assessments and managing rock mechanics instrumentation. In November 2023, Darren took on the positions of Chief Mine Engineer and Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer with Nutrien.
