Fred Poses

Fred Poses is the co-founder and CEO of Understood, where they champion the needs of the 1 in 5 individuals in the U.S. with learning and thinking differences. Previously, Fred served for 15 years as Chairman of the Board at the National Center for Learning Disabilities and spent two years in Peru with the Peace Corps. Over a distinguished career, Fred held leadership roles in several major companies, including CEO and partner at Ascend Performance Materials and chairman and CEO of Trane Inc. Fred is also a trustee at the Riverview School and active in various board memberships, reflecting a deep commitment to education and community. They remain an emphatic New Yorker and a collector of contemporary art.
