Alvaro Tornel

Alvaro Tornel is a Co-Founder & COO at Nutual, a tech-enabled property investment platform. Alvaro was previously the Head of Capital Markets Strategy at Funding Circle UK, where they raised over $10 billion from institutional investors to support small businesses. Prior to that, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Funding Circle US, a leading marketplace for small businesses. Alvaro also held a Business Development role at Zencap Spain, which was later acquired by Funding Circle. Alvaro started their career as a Business Analyst at Rocket Internet SE and worked as a Summer Legal Intern at the Seattle Art Museum.

Alvaro Tornel completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from 2007 to 2013. In addition, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Law at the same university during the same period. Furthermore, in 2010 to 2011, they studied as an exchange student at Uczelnia Łazarskiego w Warszawie. In terms of certifications, Alvaro Tornel became a member of the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid and obtained their lawyer qualification in June 2014. Alvaro also has additional certifications as a rugby player, having been affiliated with Belsize Park RFC and Club de Rugby Complutense Cisneros, although the specific dates of these certifications were not provided.
