John Watling

John Watling is a seasoned executive with extensive leadership experience in technology and consulting. Currently serving as Group CEO and Non-Executive Director at Nutun since October 2022, John previously led a transformative initiative at Nutun, managing a team of over 6,000 professionals. Prior to Nutun, John held the position of Managing Director at Accenture from December 2006 to July 2022, contributing to significant growth in Accenture Africa’s client portfolio as a member of various leadership councils. Other notable roles include Non-Executive Director at Leads2Business, Executive Director at Williams Lea, Commercial Manager at IBM, Strategy Consultant at Arthur Anderson, and General Manager at MalaMala Game Reserve. John holds an MBA in Finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management and an MBA in Venture Capital from the University of Cape Town, along with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Business Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
