Matt Smith

Matt Smith has over 20 years of experience in human resources management. Matt is currently working at Nuvation Bio as the Executive Director of the People Team, responsible for developing recruitment strategies and enhancing the candidate experience. Prior to this, they held senior HR positions at Aimmune Therapeutics, Portola Pharmaceuticals, Actelion, and Discovery Inc. Matt has also worked as a Human Resources Lead at enews.com and as a Human Resources Consultant at Deloitte and Touche, LLP. Matt began their HR career as a Human Resources Generalist at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Matt Smith attended North Carolina State University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a focus on Human Resources.
