Michael Welch

Michael Welch is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in the investment management industry. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Family Office at Nuveen since March 2017, Michael also holds the role of Managing Director for Alternative Investments at the same company. Prior to Nuveen, Michael had significant leadership positions at Rothschild & Co as Managing Director and Head of Consultant Relations from January 2012 to March 2017, and at Robeco-Sage as Managing Director from January 2010 to October 2011. Additional experience includes Managing Director roles at Coast Asset Management and Vice President at Lazard Asset Management. Michael began career as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Finance from the University of Arizona.
