Mike Davern

Mike Davern, CFA, has over three decades of experience in the financial sector, currently serving as Managing Director and Senior Market Strategist at Nuveen Investments, a role held since December 2001. Prior to this, Mike held various leadership positions at Flagship Financial and its subsequent iteration as Nuveen, including managing $3 billion in municipal bond mutual funds and overseeing the Research Team until the mid-1990s. Earlier experience includes roles as Senior Credit Analyst at Van Kampen Investments and Fuji Bank Chicago, and as VP and Head of Credit Research at Banca Nazional del Lavoro. Mike holds a Master's in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Benedictine University.
