Stuart Cohen

Stuart Cohen is currently the Managing Director and Head of Legal for Nuveen Asset Management, a position held since 2002, where responsibilities include overseeing legal matters within the firm. Prior to this role, Stuart served as VP & Legal Counsel at Credit Suisse Asset Management from 1999 to 2002, and as VP & Associate General Counsel at Warburg Pincus Asset Management from 1997 to 1999, providing comprehensive legal advice on asset management and regulatory issues. Earlier legal experience includes working as an Attorney at Gordon Altman Butowsky Weitzen Shalov & Wein from 1995 to 1997, focusing on corporate and securities law. Educational qualifications include a JD, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law and a BA with honors from Rutgers University.
